Sport Review-FIFA 2014 Champion

The most important event in 2014 must be the FIFA world cup. The FIFA is held once every four years, so people are looking forward to the great competition against other countries. It is such an important international event that every team tries their best to get into the competition. Every team in a country should play against other national teams first and they could represent their country.

My favorite football team is Bayern Munich from Germany, I have kept an eye on them for several years since I was in primary school and I was as excited as other German when they get into the final. When the FIFA began, I was travelling in London, one thing I must do everyday was to watch the game on TV. In one of the playoffs, I was quite worried about the game against Brazil. Brazil always gives a good competition to other countries, but this game shocked everyone. They got their three goal in only twenty three minutes, and they got their fourth and fifth goal in just five minutes! I was so surprised that Germany won seven points when the game ends, that means Germany got the ticket for the semi-final. I would say this game was the best game for Team Germany, and they broke the most goals world record.

Before the final began, I knew that it won't be an easy game. This is because they were going to play against Argentina and there was a super star player Messi in their team. As the game began, they were very close to each other, Argentina had a chance to shoot and they scored, but it was an offside. I could barely breathe after I saw the score was still 0-0. When the regular time up, the game was zero to zero. So they went into extra time directly. When the extra time is at 113 minutes, Mario Gotze from team Germany makes his shot and ends the game.

I was screaming when Mario became the national hero of Germany. I can't believe he made that shot. He was the key that made team Germany win the fourth world cup after twenty four years. For me, it was not just a good game, but I really enjoyed the mood that everyone is cheering for their team. This team made its success and the coach made his peak of his career when people thought he was not the right one in the beginning. Now, 2018 FIFA World Cup is coming in Russia, I believe there are millions of fans hoping team Germany could play as well as they did in 2014!
