Restaurant Review: 乾杯列車

At the beginning of the semester, my friends and I decided to dine together. I had been excited about it for several weeks, and that meal didn't upset me. We decided to have Japanese barbecue in Taipei main station. I made a reservation few days ago to make sure we would have seats. I was satisfied when I saw how many people were queuing for a seat.

As we entered the restaurant, the waiter introduced us the menu, the first thing on the menu which interested me is Wagyu. The fat of Wagyu has a marbled effect, but the price depends on how much we cut. When we saw the bill, we were frightened by the price, it cost 1500 NT for 400 grams. However, the price of other dishes on the menu were quite reasonable. My friend and I order some yogurt cocktail and beer. The best one was the peach flavor yogurt cocktail.

My favorite point of this restaurant is that we have to cook by ourselves. The first round we had was the bull tongue. I had some bull tongue in Japan before, I was always missing the taste. The next round we had was some chicken, mushroom and scallop. In the beginning I thought the chicken was flavored, but the waiter came and told us to melt some butter and mix it with chicken. I never had this kind of chicken before, and I love that taste! The chicken skin was well-grilled, the chicken itself went really well with butter. After we finished the chicken, the waiter came and he said that there would be a special event at eight o'clock. He told us if we finish up our drinks before eight then we will get another one for free! And of course we had another ones! Then after eight the waiter came and helped us grill the Wagyu. I think the Wagyu was the best dish during our dinner, they was medium rare and with a little coke on the surface, It would be even better if it's cheaper!

This was a really good dinner for me, not just good food, but I enjoyed the company of my friends. I will recommend this restaurant for those who want to chill out with their friends. The only thing is that they only provide an hour an a half to dine. However, it is still a good restaurant to choose!
